FFG/Fantasy Flight Games InFlight Report Recap (2024)

Welcome to our recap! The annual FFG InFlight stream kicked off at 11AM ET on August 1, 2024 live at Gen Con, and we’re here to give you all of the details.

Where to watch the FFG 2024 InFlight Stream

FFG VP of Strategy Jim Cartwright kicks off the stream, and muses about how the last time FFG had an on-stage live InFlight report was in 2019. Cartwright mentions that it’s the 5-year anniversary of Marvel Champions, and has a video prepared.

Marvel Champions is getting an Agents of Shield expansion

“You want to know what the next thing is?” Cartwright shows off the Agents of Shield trailer, and says that social will have more details in the future. “It is not going anywhere,” says Cartwright, regarding Marvel Champions’ future as a game line.

No cards or further details were revealed, including any hint of what the following wave will be comprised of.

We’re now moving to Arkham Horror, which is getting a Cthulhu box

“This game is also going to continue for the foreseeable future,” Cartwright notes regarding Arkham Horror LCG, and a Midwinter Gala character emerges on stage for a bit of fun.

After a short teaser, the next cycle, The Drowned City, was announced.

“Some said that Cthulhu would mark the end of the card game, this couldn’t be further from the truth. When the campaign is over, Arkham will never truly be the same” – Cartwright

“Early 2025” is the projected release date for The Drowned City.

A Twilight Imperium project was teased

Cartwright teases that Twilight Imperium has a project that has been “in the works for a few years” and is “a little bit heavier than a codex.” A small teaser planet was shown.

Star Wars The Deckbuilding Game will continue on for “the foreseeable future”

Speaking on Star Wars The Deckbuilding Game:

“Originally when we brought this game out we thought it would be a great one-off experience…the reception to it and the clamoring from the fans…is that we couldn’t stop with just a single product. We’ve made this for a full line for the foreseeable future, we have a team on this.” – Cartwright

A short teaser trailer confirms the release date of August 30, 2024 for the previously announced expandalone Clone Wars expansion. “There is much more to come for Star Wars The Deckbuilding Game in the future” is how Cartwright ends this portion of the stream. The only new thing here is that there will seemingly be more expansions for this line.

Star Wars Unlimited is up, and FFG provides some Set 3 reveals

This is the moment many people were waiting for. The reprint for set 1 is reconfirmed for later this year, and set 2 will also be getting a reprint. Everyone in attendance will get a signed copy of a Grogu promo from one of the designers as they leave the show.

The new Clone Wars set is due out on November 8, 2024, and is called “Twilight of the Republic.” The name was previously revealed, but we did get some card announcements.

Gamegenic interlude

The Gamegenic head of studio Adrian Alonso is welcomed on stage for the next portion of the event. He praises FFG and Star Wars Unlimited, and talks about existing and upcoming products for it. Some products will be “evergreen,” which you can view in the gallery below.

Here are the actual new Gamegenic products coming to Star Wars Unlimited in November, below. The new line includes sleeves, soft crate deckboxes, and playmats.

“Every set that’s coming, there will be [product] available for a short amount of time. They will be available for a couple of months and will be gone because other products will show up. With evergreens they will show up forever.” – Alonso

Alonso says that everything you see above is already in production, and will hit stores at the same time.

The “one more thing” was also Star Wars Unlimited related:

Cartwright is teasing the “next three set titles” for Unlimited. They are: Jump to Lightspeed, Legends of the Force, and Secrets of Power.

Cartwight leaves the stage. That was it!
